MN builds, buys or charters vessels whose characteristics are ideally suited to its customers’ most demanding requirements.

Ro-Ros MN Toucan and MN Colibri
Under a 15-year contract with Arianespace, these 2 vessels carry launcher components of Ariane 5 from Europe to French Guiana. They are specially designed and built to transport these components, integrating the constraints associated with the components and the ports in which they operate. (see technical data sheets)

Ro-Ros MN Eider and MN Eclipse
These vessels, owned by MN, are operated as part of a time charter contract with the French ministry of defence, for an initial period of 3 years, with several options that could extend to 8 years. The contract implemented in January 2005, provides for the French bases in the Indian Ocean and on the West African coast, for overseas exercises and for individual deployments in operational theatres.

Ro-Ro MN Pelican
This ship, purchased in reply to an invitation to tender by the French ministry of defence for the time charter of a ship for a period of 5 years, with an option for an additional 3 years, joined the MN fleet on 12 January 2007.

The Langevin
This research vessel owned by MN is operated, under 3½-year contract, on behalf of GESMA/CELAR (DGA). The contract also involves the operational maintenance of the fixed equipment embarked on board by the charterer.

The Compagnie Maritime Nantaise – MN has ISM (International Safety Management) certification. The Compagnie Maritime Nantaise – MN manages a fleet of French-flagged ships to provide industrial shipping services and conduct maritime research. Its fleet consists of ro-ro vessels, such as the MN Toucan and MN Colibri, which provide shipping services for Arianespace between Europe and French Guiana, and the MN Eider and MN Eclipse, which replenish French bases in the Indian Ocean and on the West coast of Africa on behalf of the French defence ministry. The Compagnie Maritime Nantaise – MN also manages the ro-ro vessel MN Pelican, the Langevin, a research ship operated by GESMA (Atlantic underwater research group)/CELAR (armament electronics centre) (DGA – general delegation for armament) and the 3-masted barque Belem, vessel managed on behalf of the Belem Foundation (part of the “Caisses d’Epargne” group).
