The 6 passenger vessels LOUARN, BINDY, TIBIDY, TREBERON, ARUN et TERENEZ are employed in the transportation of French Navy personnel on Brest roads, under a long term contract.
Theses passenger vessels can as well be used occasionally on other activities.

The Bindy II: The First Ferry in the Company’s New Fleet
Morlenn Express is replacing its six ferries in phases between 2026 and 2028: Bindy, Louarn, Tibidy, Treberon, Arun, and Terenez will be gradually replaced (the vessels’ names will be retained, with the number “II” simply added).
The Bindy II is the first vessel in this new series.
A Custom Design and a Reduced Carbon Footprint
The goal is to meet public market demand: transporting 400 passengers per trip, while offering a vessel that complies with the regulatory length limit of 24 meters.
Particular attention has been paid to the design and to reducing the environmental footprint. Its wave-piercing aluminum hulls are designed to minimize fuel consumption while ensuring excellent stability in rough seas.
It is powered by two Man Imo Tier 3 engines, each rated at 1,000 kW, with low particulate emissions thanks to a urea-based exhaust treatment system.
Equipped with materials sourced from Breton suppliers, maintenance of the Bindy II can be performed locally.
Special Attention to Passenger Comfort
Morlenn Express transports nearly 650,000 passengers each year who are employed at the naval bases in Brest Harbor. The project paid special attention to their comfort:
- installation of air conditioning
- reduction of noise and vibrations
- increased bicycle carrying capacity
